School entrance assessment prep / 4+ Preparation
Our 11+ preparation is designed for children in Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6 who are preparing for independent school entrance exams. They are particularly valuable for children applying to schools using CEM, ISEB, GL, or London consortium formats.
Mock exams run: September–November (final preparation before real exams)
Venue: Held in a school to build familiarity and confidence of exam conditions.
Follow-up: Parents receive written feedback, plus the option to book a consultation to plan next steps.
Our tutoring approach develops both subject knowledge and exam strategies, with a focus on:
English: reading comprehension, grammar, creative writing, dictation
Maths: arithmetic, problem solving, reasoning
Verbal & Non-Verbal Reasoning: puzzle-solving, logic, and pattern recognition
Exam techniques: time management, confidence under pressure
We also run mock exams. We design our mock exams to replicate the real experience as closely as possible.
Each paper is carefully created to mirror the difficulty, timing, and style of top independent schools.
Every child receives:
– A full set of exam papers (Maths, English, Reasoning)
– Marking against exam standards
– Detailed written feedback on performance
– Optional 1:1 review session with a teacher to go through results
